We developed a custom solution for the OCD-DPC1B-1213-SB90-H72 model for users who need Profibus communication in a standard industrial housing with straightforward field installation. This configuration uses a 58 mm synchro flange, a 10 mm solid shaft with single-side flat, and 13-bit singleturn plus 12-bit multiturn absolute feedback. Unlike heavy hazardous-area versions, its strength lies in practical bus integration: 3 x M12 connectors, address selection, and terminal resistor switching simplify on-site commissioning. Typical production lead time: 15 working days. The original configuration combines optical sensing, binary code, IP65 protection, and a 10–30 VDC supply range.

Wiring and Installation Notes

The key integration value of this model is its fieldbus usability in the cabinet and at the machine side. The 3 x M12 arrangement separates supply and bus connections in a way that supports fast replacement and easier troubleshooting. During installation, the solid shaft should be coupled without excessive radial load, especially because the unit is designed for relatively high rotational speed. The built-in address selection and terminal resistor switching should be set before startup so that network topology remains clean and predictable. In retrofit work, this type of configuration is often preferred where technicians want Profibus functionality without using loose flying leads or separate junction assemblies.
