The model number 622439-01 is a product launched by Leine Linde, belonging to the RSA 698 series. According to the documentation link, this model was introduced in 2008.
Recently, a customer from the wind power sector inquired about a replacement solution. The customer reported that this model of encoder is no longer available for purchase. However, the end-user still wishes to procure the same product as before.
The alternative solution for this product is not complicated. It is an encoder from the RS485 series. This encoder has a resolution of 8192*4096 bits, with a shaft diameter of 10mm and an outer diameter of 58mm.
With these parameters, we have enough information to formulate a replacement solution.
Hardware related to 58mm is readily available, and the internal mechanical scheme is complete. It simply requires the setting of the resolution. Compared to previous complex developments, this can be considered a relatively straightforward manufacturing process.
The customer placed an order for 10 units, which we quickly delivered. Additionally, at the customer's request, each unit was equipped with a 5-meter cable.
The encoder model 622439-01, being a discontinued model, is still in use by many customers. As a result, difficulties arise in the procurement of spare parts, which is a significant concern for the applying enterprises.
Since the beginning of this year, we have received orders from Vietnam, Indonesia, Mexico, and India, all for this reason. Fortunately, all customers who contacted us have found a solution.
