We recently received a customized inquiry from a customer for the model number 0568184, which is actually an encoder product from HENGSTLER, specifically known as the AC58/1212EQ.72OLD.
This encoder is rather unique, primarily in its mounting dimensions, featuring a square flange. The customer requires the replacement of a batch of 16 encoders. This is a maintenance customer with a tight delivery schedule, having only 10 days available. They hope to use a customized alternative solution to shorten the lead time.
In fact, we have developed numerous alternative solutions for HENGSTLER's products, particularly those from the AC58 series, for which we have well-established solutions.
This encoder operates on the CANopen communication protocol with a resolution of 4096*4096, has a 10mm solid shaft, and a 58mm outer diameter. The only distinctive feature is the square flange; addressing this particular aspect resolves all associated issues.
We mapped the flange based on the actual dimensions and produced it through our machining center. This process was completed in just three days, and then we assembled it using our existing solutions.
For this batch of 16 units, we managed to deliver the entire order in only four days.
Customized alternative solutions for the 58 series products are the most convenient to implement. Most involve resolving flange issues, while others address communication protocol challenges. The mechanical modifications required for these products are minimal, which significantly reduces the completion time.
