The first failure boundary is PROFIBUS parameter accuracy. The node address must be unique on the segment, and the termination setting must match the encoder’s real bus position. If Class 2 scaling, GSD configuration, preset value, direction parameter, or 13-bit singleturn resolution is changed, the PLC may detect the encoder while calculating the wrong angle.
