FG4K-2400G-90G-NG-V is a discontinued incremental encoder with a relatively uncommon 2400 PPR output specification. When selecting a replacement for this model, the important point is not only the 2400 PPR value itself, but also the electronic pulse-doubling structure represented by the final V in the model code.
This model uses a K-type terminal box and provides a rated output of 2400 PPR. It includes 0° and 90° incremental channels with a 90° phase difference, together with a marker pulse and the corresponding inverted signals.

In this model, Option V indicates electronic pulse doubling. The basic channel and the 90° channel are replaced by output channels with twice the pulse count of the internal pulse disk, while the two channels retain a 90° phase shift and a 1:1 duty ratio.
Therefore, the 2400 PPR stated in FG4K-2400G-90G-NG-V is the final output specification. It should not be interpreted as 4800 PPR. A more accurate understanding is that the encoder uses Option V internally to generate the required 2400 PPR output.
This is particularly important for the 2400 PPR version because that pulse rate is less common than many standard modern encoder resolutions. A mechanically similar encoder with the same interface may still not be suitable if it does not reproduce the required 2400 PPR output and the original signal structure.
The original FG 4 series uses a 12–30 VDC supply range, while the customized product uses 10–30 VDC. For FG4K-2400G-90G-NG-V, the customized solution therefore focuses on reproducing the required 2400 PPR output together with the relevant Option V signal arrangement, rather than treating the model as a 4800 PPR encoder.
