The HS35AY1CAU1EA000 is a hollow-shaft incremental encoder used for motor speed measurement and position feedback. It provides 1024 PPR with a 5/8-inch (15.875 mm) bore. For this model, we can manufacture a custom replacement matched to the original mechanical dimensions, output signals, and wiring assignments for equipment maintenance and spare-part replacement.
The electrical configuration uses a 7272 line driver, delivering A and B channels and their complementary signals, together with a Z index pulse and its complementary signal. The custom encoder matches the original output levels, standard phasing, and index signal, allowing the equipment to continue reading feedback through the existing control system.

Connection option A specifies a 10-pin MS connector without a mating plug. The custom design matches the connector specification and pin assignments so that the mating plug on the existing equipment cable can remain in use. If that plug is damaged or missing, a replacement plug must be supplied separately. “Without a mating plug” should not be confused with a direct cable connection.
The encoder is secured to the equipment shaft by a clamping collar. It includes a protective basket and an anti-rotation tether for 4.5-inch or 6.75-inch C-Face mounting locations. The original uses an insulating shaft insert to isolate motor shaft currents. This feature is retained in the custom design, together with the original clamping position, tether attachment points, and protective basket mounting space.
The original model operates at 5–28 VDC, while the custom replacement uses 10–30 VDC. All other configuration details are matched to the original model. Where the supply voltage meets this requirement and the existing mating plug is in good condition, the replacement can use the original mounting and plug connection. If the equipment uses a 5 VDC supply, the power supply must be adjusted first.
