The CDV115M-00002 is a multiturn absolute encoder designed for heavy-duty applications. For equipment still using this model, we can manufacture a custom equivalent matched to the original mechanical mounting, absolute resolution, and incremental signal specifications for equipment maintenance and future spare-part replacement.
The absolute position output uses an SSI interface with a resolution of 4096 × 4096, representing 4096 positions per revolution and 4096 revolutions. The encoder also provides separate incremental signals at 2048 PPR, with RS422 output levels and K1, K2, and their complementary signals.
What distinguishes the CDV115M-00002 from a standard SSI encoder is its integration of multiturn absolute position feedback and incremental signals within the same heavy-duty structure. The original product uses a dual scanning system: one system provides PROFIBUS-DP + SSI, while the other provides SSI + Incremental. This allows the equipment to receive absolute position data alongside 2048 PPR incremental pulse feedback.

The mechanical design features a ZB85 flange and a 20 mm keyed solid shaft, with radially arranged electrical connections. These mounting features must be matched to the existing equipment when specifying a custom replacement. Selecting a standard encoder based solely on SSI resolution could overlook the heavy-duty construction, shaft configuration, and mounting dimensions.
The original model has a supply voltage range of 11–27 VDC, while the custom replacement uses 10–30 VDC. Both ranges cover the typical operating voltage of a 24 VDC control system, but the actual on-site power supply conditions should still be checked before replacement. Both the original SSI data output and the 2048 PPR incremental channels use RS422 electrical signaling.
For the CDV115M-00002, a custom replacement requires more than finding a 4096 × 4096 SSI encoder. It must also preserve the heavy-duty mechanical structure, SSI multiturn absolute position feedback, and 2048 PPR incremental signals. These key requirements must all be matched to meet the existing equipment’s position detection and incremental feedback needs.
