BIMD58G1P24P13/16KAD Multiturn Absolute Encoder

BIMD58G1P24P13/16KAD is an older multiturn absolute encoder. For equipment that is still using this model, we can develop a customized product based on the original mechanical installation and communication method, while retaining the existing mounting conditions as much as possible.

The encoder has a 58 mm-class housing and a 14 mm through hollow shaft. It uses a PROFIBUS-DP interface with binary position coding. The original model has a 13-bit single-turn resolution and a 16-bit multiturn resolution, with a supply voltage range of 10–30 VDC.

The customized version retains the 14 mm through hollow shaft, PROFIBUS-DP communication, and 13-bit single-turn resolution, while the multiturn resolution is changed to 14 bit. This means the single-turn position resolution remains unchanged, but the available multiturn range is different from the original model.

The customized encoder also operates from 10–30 VDC. Before replacement, the mechanical fit and shaft bore should be confirmed, together with the control system’s required multiturn range, to ensure that the 14-bit multiturn configuration is suitable for the application.

For BIMD58G1P24P13/16KAD, the main difference in the customized version is the change in multiturn resolution, while the key mechanical and communication requirements are matched to the existing equipment.
