ATM60-PAH13X13 is a multiturn absolute encoder with a PROFIBUS-DP interface and a blind hollow shaft design. For this model, we can develop a customized product based on the original mounting conditions and bus communication requirements for equipment maintenance and replacement. The original model uses a 13-bit single-turn + 13-bit multiturn configuration, corresponding to 8192 × 8192 positions.
The encoder uses a 15 mm blind hollow shaft, with an original supply voltage range of 10–32 VDC. It supports PROFIBUS DPV0 and communicates according to Encoder Profile Class 2.
For the customized version, two resolution configurations are available: 12 × 13 bit (4096 × 8192) or 14 × 13 bit (16384 × 8192). This means the available position range differs from the original model depending on the selected configuration. Before finalizing the product, the required position range in the PLC program should be confirmed so that the appropriate resolution option can be selected.


The customized encoder operates from 10–30 VDC, which is slightly different from the original 10–32 VDC range. For systems using a typical 24 VDC supply, both ranges are generally suitable, but the actual machine supply should still be confirmed before installation.
Another important point is the PROFIBUS-DP configuration. The customized encoder requires new GSD configuration, and we provide the new GSD file for the customized product. The PLC or automation technician should import the new device file and complete the PROFIBUS configuration according to the actual bus address and system parameters. The original encoder’s GSD file should not be reused.
For ATM60-PAH13X13, the two most important points are selecting the correct resolution configuration and updating the system with the new GSD file. These directly affect the available position range and proper PROFIBUS-DP communication.
