CEV65M-01646 is a multiturn absolute encoder with PROFIBUS-DP communication. For this model, we can develop a customized product based on the original mounting dimensions and application parameters for equipment maintenance and replacement. The main difference in this customized solution is the housing diameter, while the mechanical installation and application requirements remain matched to the original unit.
The original encoder uses a 65 mm housing, with a 12-bit single-turn resolution (4096 steps/rev) and a 12-bit multiturn resolution (4096 revolutions). It uses a PROFIBUS-DP interface and supports PNO Profile Class 2. The original supply voltage range is 11–27 VDC, and the connection arrangement uses 3 × PG9 radial cable entries.


The customized product uses a 60 mm housing diameter, which is 5 mm smaller than the original. Although the housing diameter is different, the actual mounting dimensions remain unchanged, so this difference does not affect installation or normal operation on the existing machine. For replacement, the shaft, flange, mounting position, and equipment interface are more important than the housing diameter itself.
The application parameters of the customized version are matched to the original CEV65M-01646 configuration, so the existing position feedback and PROFIBUS-DP control logic can be retained.
There is also a difference in the supply voltage range. The original encoder operates from 11–27 VDC, while the customized product uses 10–30 VDC. A typical 24 VDC machine supply falls within both ranges, but the actual supply voltage should still be confirmed before replacement.
For CEV65M-01646, the most visible difference is the change from the original 65 mm housing to a 60 mm customized housing. This difference does not affect actual use, while the key mounting dimensions and application parameters are matched to the original equipment requirements.
