Selected when multi-turn absolute feedback is required via EtherNet/IP, using a 58 mm synchro flange with 6 mm solid shaft, without battery replacement in long-cycle positioning systems. The referenced configuration combines EtherNet/IP, 13-bit single-turn resolution, 12-bit multi-turn resolution, and a mechanical gear-based multi-turn system without battery.

Bus Configuration & Communication

The interface is EtherNet/IP with CIP, 100 Mbit transmission, interface cycle time from 1 ms, and programmable functions including resolution, time base and velocity filter, preset, counting direction, parameter control priority, and IP address. Error and warning bits are also available.

Primary integration value: network-based multi-turn absolute position with controller-side diagnostics and standard Ethernet infrastructure.
Primary risk: network configuration, switch setup, or controller mapping errors rather than signal-line noise from multi-wire parallel outputs.
Best practice: power → port continuity → IP recognition → controller mapping. That is the practical startup sequence for this connector-based EtherNet/IP structure.

Mechanical & Installation Focus

This version uses a steel housing with corrosion-protective coating, 58 mm synchro flange, and 6 mm solid stainless shaft. Published shaft load is 40 N axial / 110 N radial, with maximum mechanical speed of 3000 rpm.

Primary mechanical constraint: the 6 mm shaft is less forgiving than larger solid-shaft versions.
Primary installation value: compact shaft diameter with Ethernet communication in a small industrial package.
At this shaft size, coupling alignment still matters because radial and axial loading will affect bearing life much earlier than in larger shaft classes. That conclusion follows from the shaft size and published load data.

Wiring & Bus Topology

The electrical connection uses radial M12 connectors plus rotary switch hardware. Interface 1 is M12 female 4-pin D-coded, Interface 2 is M12 male 4-pin A-coded, and Interface 3 is M12 female 4-pin D-coded.

This model reduces multi-line signal mapping, but successful startup depends more on Ethernet commissioning discipline than on encoder hardware.
