The CRD65-4096R4096C2Z01 belongs to the CRD family of multiturn PROFIBUS-DP absolute encoders. This coded version uses binary output, 4096 positions per 360°, and a multiturn measuring range of 4096 revolutions. Within the mechanical family, CRD65 is the synchro-flange version, making it suitable for installations where flange-side reference geometry should remain consistent across replacement work.

The platform supports DP-Slave Class 2 behavior according to Encoder Profile No. 3.062 and allows programming of code sequence, class activation, diagnostics routine, scaling function, resolution per revolution, overall resolution, reference value, and station address. This makes it suitable for systems where the encoder is already integrated into a configured PROFIBUS environment.

Industrial Integration Considerations

For this model, the CRD65 synchro-flange platform is the main mechanical compatibility point. Even when electrical behavior is identical across parts of the family, flange-side installation continuity often determines whether replacement can be completed without auxiliary bracket or coupling changes.
