We developed a custom solution for model OCD-PPA1B-0010-C10S-CAW. This version is a single-turn absolute encoder with parallel push-pull output, 58 mm clamping flange, and 10 mm solid shaft. The referenced configuration lists 10-bit resolution, 10–30 VDC supply, 1 m axial cable, and IP66/IP67 protection. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

Technical Key Parameters

This model is a typical choice where the machine controller still reads direct parallel absolute data. The output is push-pull, and the connection plan includes Bit 1 to Bit 10, plus Latch, DIR, Power Supply, and GND. Compared with 9-bit versions, the extra bit gives a finer angular division, so it is the more suitable option when the control side expects a denser direct-code position value while still avoiding bus integration changes.

Mechanically, the encoder uses a 10 mm solid shaft with single flat, 20 mm shaft length, clamping flange, and axial cable exit. The listed 3000 rpm speed rating is lower than some radial-output variants, but the vibration figure reaches 20 g, which can be a better fit when installation space favors axial cable routing and the machine environment is mechanically active. This is a good example of why cable outlet direction should be treated as a real selection parameter rather than an accessory detail.

Wiring and Installation Notes

This version uses a 1 m axial PVC cable. The signal allocation includes 10 parallel bits plus Latch, DIR, Power Supply, and GND, each with defined wire colors. During installation, the axial cable bend radius should be respected, and the receiving controller should be checked for correct bit order and latch timing before final commissioning. Because the shaft is solid 10 mm with coupling connection, good coaxial alignment remains the simplest way to avoid premature bearing stress.
