The platform supports Class 1 and Class 2 functionality, including direction selection, resolution scaling, overall resolution, preset, expanded diagnostics, speed transfer, programmable limit switches, and commissioning mode. This makes it suitable for installed machines where both bus behavior and measuring format have already been commissioned.

Industrial Integration Considerations

For this model, the main mechanical distinction is the F5A recessed hollow shaft configuration. Compared with larger hollow-shaft versions, it is more likely to appear in applications where compact shaft size and direct mounting are both important. Replacement planning should therefore focus on shaft fit, insertion depth, and clamping ring installation practice rather than only on housing dimensions.
