RVI70E-021K2A6XN-00060 Encoder with X-Output Check

EncoderWorks can configure RVI70E-021K2A6XN-00060 as a custom compatible replacement solution for explosion-proof incremental feedback where the X-output circuit and 60 PPR requirement must be confirmed before production. The failure boundary is defined by pulse count, A/B/Z complementary signal mapping, controller input compatibility, 200 kHz counter margin, axial cable exit, and hazardous-area sealing. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

This model is used as an incremental rotary encoder in applications that require a flameproof housing, high shaft-load capacity, and reliable signal transmission in harsh environments. Because the X output code and 00060 pulse count are not listed as standard-confirmed values in the available type table, the replacement must be treated as a custom confirmation case rather than a simple code copy.

System Limits

The first system boundary is the signal and counter relationship. RVI70E-021K2A6XN-00060 uses incremental A/B/Z feedback with complementary channels, but the X output circuit requires confirmation before the controller input can be matched. If the replacement is built with the wrong voltage level, push-pull or RS422 structure, missing complementary channels, wrong Z reference behavior, or an unverified 60 PPR setting, the machine can fail with missed counts, unstable speed feedback, wrong direction, reference loss, or counter scaling error. The output frequency margin also has to be checked against the real shaft speed because low PPR does not remove the need for clean edge timing in a noisy drive environment.

The second boundary is mechanical, environmental, and hazardous-area related. This version uses a Ø12 mm × 25 mm shaft with clamping flange, 2 m cable, axial cable exit, and aluminium housing, so shaft fit, flange face, cable direction, gland stress, sealing exposure, and grounding path must remain compatible with the installed machine. Excessive radial load, flange misalignment, cable strain, damaged PE connection, or incorrect sealing can cause bearing stress, water or dust ingress, signal dropout, or early mechanical failure. Explosion-proof compliance must also be confirmed against the installed hazardous-area requirement and certificate scope before shipment.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the installed model code, required PPR, output circuit behind the X code, supply voltage, controller input type, A/B/Z and complementary channel mapping, cable length, cable exit direction, PE connection, shaft/flange size, and hazardous-area requirement. The 00060 pulse count should not be assumed as a standard catalog value until the installed encoder or system setting has been checked.

During installation, the clamping flange must sit flat without forcing the shaft into the coupling. Keep the axial cable exit free from bending load, protect the cable gland from vibration and pulling force, and maintain PE and shield continuity back to the cabinet. Route encoder wiring away from motor power cables, confirm that the controller counts both direction and reference correctly, and do not weaken the IP or explosion-proof boundary during mounting.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match the confirmed PPR, A/B/Z channel structure, complementary signals, and controller counter requirement
  • Confirm the X output circuit before defining voltage level, driver type, and input compatibility
  • Adapt the Ø12 mm shaft, clamping flange, 2 m axial cable, housing material, and sealing boundary
  • Review shaft load, frequency margin, PE continuity, cable routing, IP exposure, and hazardous-area requirement before shipment
