RVI70E-021K2A61N-00100 Encoder with 100 PPR Check

EncoderWorks can configure RVI70E-021K2A61N-00100 as a custom compatible replacement solution for explosion-proof incremental feedback where the 100 PPR requirement, 10–30 V push-pull output, and Ø12 mm clamping-flange boundary must be confirmed together. The failure boundary is defined by non-standard pulse count, A/B/Z complementary mapping, controller scaling, 2 m axial cable routing, PE continuity, and hazardous-area sealing. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

This model is used where low-count incremental feedback must remain stable in a protected industrial installation. Because 00100 is not listed as a standard-confirmed pulse count in the available type table, the replacement should be handled as a custom PPR confirmation case before production, even though the output circuit and mechanical code are defined.

System Limits

The first system boundary is the low-PPR scaling and push-pull counter relationship. RVI70E-021K2A61N-00100 uses A/B/Z feedback with complementary channels and a 10–30 V push-pull output circuit, but the 100 PPR suffix requires confirmation against the installed controller scaling. If the replacement is built with 512, 1000, or another assumed pulse count, the machine can fail with wrong speed feedback, proportional position error, incorrect reference behavior, or unstable counting. The controller input must also match the push-pull voltage level, channel polarity, and edge timing; otherwise the system can show missed counts, direction reversal, or Z reference loss.

The second boundary is the Ø12 mm clamping-flange installation with a 2 m axial cable in an explosion-proof housing. This version uses an aluminium body, axial cable exit, and Ø12 mm × 25 mm shaft, so shaft fit, flange face, rear cable clearance, gland stress, PE continuity, shielding, and sealing exposure must be controlled together. Excessive radial load, flange misalignment, cable pulling force, poor grounding, or damaged sealing can cause bearing stress, signal dropout, water or dust ingress, and early mechanical failure. Explosion-proof suitability must be confirmed against the installed hazardous-area requirement and certificate scope before shipment.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the full installed model code, actual 100 PPR requirement, controller scaling, 10–30 V supply, push-pull input compatibility, A/B/Z and complementary channel mapping, 2 m cable route, axial exit clearance, PE connection, shaft/flange dimensions, and hazardous-area requirement. The 00100 suffix should not be treated as a standard catalog pulse value until the installed unit or control setting has been checked.

During installation, the Ø12 mm clamping flange should sit flat and the coupling should not force the shaft off center. Keep the axial cable exit free from pulling force, sharp bending, or vibration load, and maintain PE and shield continuity back to the cabinet. Route encoder wiring away from motor power cables, then verify direction, Z reference behavior, and counter scaling before returning the machine to normal operation.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match the confirmed 100 PPR requirement, A/B/Z channel structure, and complementary signal mapping
  • Preserve 10–30 V push-pull output behavior, controller input compatibility, and edge timing
  • Adapt the Ø12 mm shaft, clamping flange, 2 m axial cable, aluminium housing, and sealing boundary
  • Review PE continuity, shaft load, cable routing, IP exposure, and hazardous-area requirement before shipment
