We developed a custom solution for model 14-14361-3600. Selected when medium-high resolution incremental feedback is required in hazardous industrial environments, especially where flameproof construction matters as much as pulse accuracy. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

The core electrical and mechanical limits for this series are defined in the datasheet, including 10–30 VDC supply, push-pull output, max. 100 kHz output frequency, IP66, max. 6000 rpm, axial load 60 N, and radial load 80 N.
Decision Snapshot
- Best for: hazardous-area incremental speed and position feedback with solid industrial output margins
- Key fit: 3600 PPR
- Avoid if: the application needs absolute position, bus communication, or higher pulse density than the controller and cabling can reliably handle

Encoder structure reference: flameproof housing, clamping flange, 12 mm shaft, 2 m cable outlet. The dimension drawing on page 1 shows the Ø80 clamping flange, Ø12 shaft, and the overall heavy-duty housing layout.
Signal & Feedback Architecture
This model uses classic incremental A/B channels with index pulse 0. The signal form is still edge-based electrical feedback, not packet-based data communication. The connection table on page 3 lists GND, +Ub, A, B, inverted A, inverted B, 0, and inverted 0, confirming a full incremental push-pull structure.
Primary engineering value: 3600 PPR gives a strong balance between speed resolution and frequency margin.
Primary system constraint: usable performance is limited by output frequency, not just nominal pulse count. At this series limit of 100 kHz, pulse density and shaft speed must be considered together.
Mechanical & Installation Focus
The datasheet positions this encoder series for applications with high mechanical demand, and page 3 explicitly highlights the shaft design and flange versatility. It also states the permissible radial force is 80 N and axial force is 60 N.
Primary mechanical value: flameproof heavy-duty construction with stable flange mounting.
Primary mechanical constraint: shaft load defines lifetime boundary more than housing size. Misalignment does not only shorten bearing life; it also increases vibration and can degrade usable signal quality in high-duty installations. That engineering judgment is consistent with the published shaft-load and speed limits.
Wiring & EMC Discipline
This encoder uses a 9-core, 2 m cable with push-pull output. In practice, stable incremental feedback depends on edge integrity, not on nominal resolution alone. The electrical data lists short-circuit protected push-pull outputs, max. 40 mA per channel, and 100 kHz max. output frequency.
Primary commissioning risk: signal instability caused by cable routing, shielding, or controller input mismatch.
Primary system judgment: in this class, interference affects edge timing rather than data packets, so EMC discipline remains part of accuracy control, not just reliability control.
Integration & Compatibility
- Designed for hazardous-area incremental feedback systems
- Suitable for speed monitoring, counting, and position tracking with homing logic
- Works well where push-pull incremental output is preferred over network configuration
- Not suitable for absolute positioning without reference handling
Lead Time
Typical production lead time: 15 working days. Custom adaptation can be developed around cable length, output configuration, and installation requirements.
