The XSI 850 750728-16 is a heavy-duty solid-shaft incremental encoder with configuration code 850009356. For equipment using this model, we can manufacture a custom replacement matched to the original mechanical mounting, pulse count, output signals, and wiring for equipment maintenance and spare-part replacement.
This model provides 5000 PPR with High Current HTL (HCHTL) outputs, including S00, S90, the Sref index signal, and their complementary signals. The custom design retains this signal configuration and matches the output drive capability, phasing, and index signal to meet the feedback requirements of the existing control system.

The mechanical design features a B10-type Euro flange and an 11 mm keyed solid shaft, with a radially routed 1.5 m cable. The original encoder permits maximum shaft loads of 500 N axially and 1200 N radially. The custom design must account for both mounting dimensions and shaft load requirements, considering the coupling and loading conditions on the equipment.
The original model operates at 9–30 VDC, while the custom replacement uses 10–30 VDC. Both ranges cover typical 12 VDC and 24 VDC supplies. Before replacement, the actual supply voltage should be checked to confirm that it falls within the custom encoder’s operating range.
This configuration also requires attention to the relationship between speed and output frequency. The original encoder has a maximum mechanical speed of 6000 rpm and a maximum output frequency of 200 kHz. At 5000 PPR, the pulse frequency of each channel reaches 200 kHz at 2400 rpm. Before specifying the custom encoder, the equipment’s actual maximum operating speed should therefore be confirmed, along with the encoder’s output frequency capability and the controller’s input frequency limit.
