The HS35A41CCU1EA000 is a hollow-shaft incremental encoder from the Avtron HS35A series, used for speed measurement and position feedback in motors and machinery. For this older model, we offer a custom replacement that matches the original specifications, except for the supply voltage. The mechanical mounting, signal outputs, and connector pin assignment are matched for plug-and-play replacement.
This model has a resolution of 2048 PPR and a 5/8-inch (15.875 mm) bore. Its outputs include A and B channels with a 90° phase shift and their complementary signals, together with a Z index pulse and its complementary signal. The custom replacement retains the same pulse count and signal configuration, allowing the existing equipment to continue reading speed, determining direction, and detecting the index position.

The electrical connection uses a 10-pin MS connector with a mating plug. Plug-and-play compatibility requires matching the pin assignment, A/B phasing, and Z index signal as well as the connector itself. The custom replacement matches these details, allowing the existing equipment cable to remain in use without rewiring.
The mechanical design retains the original hollow-shaft clamping arrangement and matches the anti-rotation tether and protective basket configuration. The original HS35A uses an insulating shaft insert to isolate motor shaft currents. This feature is also retained in the custom design to meet the mounting and operating requirements of the motor application.
The supply voltage is the difference in this replacement: the original model operates at 5–28 VDC, while the custom replacement operates at 10–30 VDC. All other specifications remain the same. For typical 12 VDC or 24 VDC systems, the replacement can use the existing mounting and wiring. If the equipment uses a 5 VDC supply, the power supply must be adjusted before connecting the custom replacement.
