RVI70E-021K5A61N-01024 Encoder with Axial 1024 PPR Fit

EncoderWorks can configure RVI70E-021K5A61N-01024 as a custom compatible replacement solution for explosion-proof incremental feedback where 1024 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, 5 m axial cable routing, and Ø12 mm clamping-flange fit must remain aligned. The failure boundary is defined by A/B/Z complementary mapping, counter scaling, axial cable clearance, PE continuity, shaft load, and hazardous-area sealing. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

This model is used where a controller expects 1024 PPR quadrature feedback from a protected incremental encoder. A compatible replacement must preserve the pulse count, push-pull voltage behavior, Z reference timing, Ø12 mm shaft interface, axial cable path, aluminium housing envelope, and explosion-proof installation boundary.

System Limits

The first system boundary is the 1024 PPR push-pull counter relationship. RVI70E-021K5A61N-01024 uses A/B/Z feedback with complementary channels and a 10–30 V push-pull output circuit, so the controller must receive the same pulse count, channel polarity, reference pulse behavior, and direction logic. If the replacement is configured with 1000 PPR, missing complementary channels, wrong voltage level, inverted A/B order, or poor edge quality over the 5 m cable, the machine can fail with proportional speed error, missed counts, direction reversal, reference loss, or unstable counting. The 200 kHz output boundary should still be checked against maximum shaft speed and the controller’s usable counter margin.

The second boundary is the Ø12 mm clamping-flange installation with axial cable exit. This version uses an aluminium housing, Ø12 mm × 25 mm shaft, and 5 m axial cable route, so shaft fit, flange face, rear cable clearance, gland stress, PE continuity, shielding, sealing exposure, and bearing load must be controlled together. Excessive radial load, flange misalignment, cable pulling force behind the encoder, poor grounding, or damaged sealing can cause bearing stress, signal dropout, water or dust ingress, and early mechanical failure. Explosion-proof suitability must be confirmed against the installed hazardous-area requirement and certificate scope before shipment.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the full installed model code, 1024 PPR requirement, 10–30 V supply, push-pull controller input, A/B/Z and complementary channel mapping, 5 m axial cable route, PE connection, shaft/flange dimensions, and hazardous-area requirement. The axial cable exit must be checked against rear mounting space because a correct electrical match can still fail if the cable is forced into a tight bend or vibration load.

During installation, the Ø12 mm clamping flange should sit flat and the coupling should not force the shaft off center. Keep the axial cable exit free from pulling force, sharp bending, or gland stress, and maintain PE and shield continuity back to the cabinet. Route encoder wiring away from motor power cables, then verify direction, Z reference behavior, and count stability before returning the machine to operation.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match 1024 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, A/B/Z channels, and complementary signal mapping
  • Preserve counter scaling, edge timing, Z reference behavior, direction logic, and controller input compatibility
  • Adapt the Ø12 mm shaft, clamping flange, 5 m axial cable, aluminium housing, and sealing boundary
  • Review PE continuity, rear cable clearance, shaft load, IP exposure, and hazardous-area requirement before shipment
