The 821641-01 ISA 608 uses PROFIBUS DP with encoder profiles 3.062 and 3.162 v4.1, DIP switch configurable node addressing, and supported functions including preset, scaling, and code sequence configuration. Differences in profile selection, node address, or scaling parameters may cause incorrect position evaluation even when bus communication is established.

The mechanical integration boundary includes shaft adaptation, connector arrangement, and mounting stability. This model uses a Ø6 mm shaft with partial flat and a clamping flange mounting structure. The three M12 connector configuration, shaft coupling accuracy, shielding, grounding, and vibration resistance must be considered together because mechanical or electrical mismatch can affect long-term feedback reliability in industrial applications.

Wiring & Installation
