The 1078504-01 ISA 608 uses SSI Binary output with 25-bit absolute resolution, including 13-bit singleturn and 12-bit multiturn data. Clock timing, data format, code sequence, and preset behavior must be matched correctly because differences in serial data handling can affect controller position evaluation or commissioning.

The mechanical replacement boundary includes shaft fit, mounting structure, and environmental installation conditions. This model uses a 58 mm housing, Ø10 mm round shaft, and clamping flange mounting structure. Shaft alignment, coupling stability, cable routing, shielding, and grounding continuity should be maintained because mechanical stress or electrical interference can influence long-term feedback accuracy in industrial applications.
