The controller depends on correct S00/S00⁻ and S90/S90⁻ signal interpretation, stable output current capability, accurate phase relationship, and reliable reference pulse processing. A replacement may appear electrically functional while still failing when the receiver detects incorrect direction, unstable reference timing, missing inverted channels, or insufficient signal margin at operating speed.

The second boundary is the mechanical installation and cable grounding structure. The Ø16 mm blind hollow shaft creates a different mounting condition compared with smaller shaft variants in the same platform. Shaft alignment, torque bracket orientation, cable routing, shield continuity, and chassis grounding must remain controlled to avoid vibration-related signal instability.

The heavy-duty enclosure is designed for demanding environments. Incorrect shaft loading, coupling misalignment, or mechanical stress transfer can affect bearing life and create unstable feedback signals. The replacement should preserve the original mechanical load boundary rather than only matching electrical specifications.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the complete installed configuration including 1024 PPR requirement, HC-HTL output type, S00/S00⁻, S90/S90⁻, Sref/Sref⁻ channel assignment, supply voltage, cable wiring, shield connection, hollow-shaft dimensions, flange mounting, and torque-bracket position.
