We developed a custom solution for model UCD-DPC1B-1216-HFTS-H72. This version is aimed at Profibus fieldbus integration where a 58 mm blind hollow housing, 15 mm shaft bore, and multi-turn absolute feedback are required. The configuration shown on the source page uses Profibus DPV0/DPV1/DPV2 Class 2, 10–30 VDC supply, 16-bit single-turn + 12-bit multi-turn resolution, and IP66/IP67 protection. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

Technical Key Parameters

This model is a practical choice when the project needs stable bus communication rather than only local pulse output. The electrical side supports up to 12 Mbaud, interface cycle time ≥ 1 ms, and programmable functions such as preset, direction, scaling, node number, limit switch setting, filter, and teach mode. The sensing method is magnetic, and the multi-turn section uses a self-powered pulse counting system without battery or gear train, which is a useful decision point for applications where maintenance access is limited.

Mechanically, the encoder uses a blind hollow shaft, depth 28 mm, with max speed 3000 rpm, corrosion-protected housing, and declared shaft/housing protection at IP66/IP67. For engineering selection, the key value is not just the resolution; the bigger advantage is the combination of bus programmability, sealed construction, and non-battery multi-turn retention.

Wiring and Installation Notes

This version uses three M12 connectors in radial orientation: one for power and two for bus in/bus out. The connection plan lists Power Supply, GND, Bus line A, and Bus line B across the dedicated connectors. During installation, bus topology and termination status should be checked before power-up, because this structure includes address and termination switching in the connection box. On blind hollow shaft assemblies, keep shaft misalignment within the stated static and dynamic limits to avoid unnecessary bearing load and communication instability caused by vibration.
