We developed a custom solution for the OCD-DPC1B-1212-B12S-H72 model for machines that require Profibus communication together with a blind hollow bore installation concept. This version combines 12-bit singleturn and 12-bit multiturn absolute feedback with a 58 mm housing platform, a 12 mm blind hollow bore, and a robust steel housing with anti-corrosion coating. Compared with solid-shaft Profibus variants, its integration value is more strongly tied to shaft insertion depth, bore matching, and mounting alignment. Typical production lead time: 15 working days. The original configuration uses optical sensing, binary code, 10–30 VDC input, IP66/IP67 protection, and 3 x M12 connection architecture.

Wiring and Installation Notes

This encoder should be installed with special attention to the mechanical relationship between the hollow bore and the driven shaft. Because the structure is based on a blind bore design, insertion depth and clamping alignment directly influence running stability. On the electrical side, the Profibus connection layout with separate M12 connectors supports structured field wiring, but correct bus continuity and termination settings remain essential during commissioning. Compared with higher-speed solid-shaft versions, this model is more installation-sensitive on the mechanical side and therefore better suited to applications where secure bore fit and sealed housing performance matter more than very high rotational speed.
