We developed a custom solution for model OCD-DPC1B-1416-B12V-H3P. This version is built for Profibus multi-turn position feedback with a 58 mm blind hollow stainless structure and 12 mm shaft bore. The referenced configuration shows 16-bit single-turn + 14-bit multi-turn resolution, 10–30 VDC supply, IP66/IP67 protection, and a Profibus fieldbus output with optical isolation. Technical Key Parameters

From a selection perspective, this model stands out because the mechanical part is heavier-duty than many standard painted-housing versions. The source page lists stainless steel housing and flange, blind hollow shaft depth 30 mm, and encoder weight of 1060 g, which signals a more robust mechanical package. On the sensing side it uses optical technology with 16-bit single-turn and 14-bit multi-turn resolution, while the multi-turn system is based on a mechanical gear train without battery.

For bus integration, the interface supports Profibus up to 12 Mbaud, cycle time ≥ 1 ms, and programmable functions including preset, scaling, node number, direction, filter, and diagnostics. In real project selection, the 12 mm blind hollow shaft plus stainless construction usually matters more than abstract resolution values; this configuration is better suited when mounting stiffness, washdown tolerance, or corrosion resistance is part of the requirement set.

Wiring and Installation Notes

The connection side is arranged in radial cable gland format with separate bus in and bus out wiring. The published connection plan lists Bus line A, Bus line B, Power Supply+, and GND-. Since this version includes node and termination handling in the connection arrangement, the commissioning sequence should confirm bus addressing and end-of-line termination before loading the network. For blind hollow installation, avoid forcing the 12 mm bore onto a shaft with surface damage or out-of-round condition.
