We configured a custom solution for the FGH6K-1024G-90G-NG-J/50P encoder, intended for heavy-duty shaft systems where direct hollow shaft mounting and stable incremental speed feedback must remain reliable under vibration, shaft movement, and industrial interference. This configuration provides 1024 ppr output, single terminal box structure, and integrates option J for reduced rotational frequency modulation, making it suitable for applications where cleaner speed signals are more important than higher pulse density. It is not a general-purpose encoder. It is a shaft-mounted feedback solution where installation quality and transmission stability determine whether the output remains usable. Stable output depends on shaft fit, mounting rigidity, terminal integrity, and controlled signal routing.

System Limits

  • Shaft eccentricity → unstable pulse output
  • EMC interference → signal distortion over distance
  • Weak mounting rigidity → frequency fluctuation

The FGH6 platform is built for harsh-duty speed feedback, with hollow shaft mounting preferred where coupling-based installation would reduce lifetime or signal quality. The encoder uses an optical measuring principle and supports 0°, 90°, reference pulse, and inverted signals. Option J reduces rotational frequency modulation through an optically adjusted pulse disk, which is especially useful when the control system requires smoother speed feedback with lower jitter behavior.

Installation and Wiring Constraints

  • Use direct hollow shaft mounting (Ø50 mm H7)
  • Avoid coupling-based installation and shaft misalignment
  • Keep signal wiring separate from power cables
  • Use shielded cables in harsh EMC environments
  • Consider FOC transmission for long-distance or interference-critical routing

Failure boundary:

  • Poor mounting → unstable output
  • Poor shielding → distorted signal
  • Long cable without EMC control → degraded transmission quality

Replacement and Interface Mapping

  • Suitable for heavy-duty speed feedback with low jitter requirement
  • Applicable where 1024 ppr incremental signal and stable output behavior are required
  • Not suitable where installation precision or EMC control cannot be ensured
