We developed a custom solution for the 14-1436X-60 encoder, intended for hazardous-area rotary feedback systems where maximum signal robustness and wide operating tolerance are required. This configuration uses an ultra-low pulse structure to minimize electrical load and maintain stable feedback under harsh industrial conditions. It is selected when reliability is the priority and resolution is not critical.

System Limits

This configuration is limited by external signal conditions only.

At this pulse level, the encoder does not approach its frequency ceiling under any practical speed range. Mechanical limits are also not the primary constraint. Failure occurs only when the signal path is degraded by interference or incorrect installation.

Priority of limits:

  • Signal becomes invalid before any electrical or mechanical limit is reached
  • External EMC conditions define system reliability

This configuration provides the widest operating margin in the series. It is used where installation conditions are uncertain or interference cannot be fully controlled.

Installation and Wiring Constraints

Mechanical limits are rarely reached. Installation quality determines system behavior.

  • Poor shielding causes signal distortion
  • Incorrect grounding invalidates signal
  • Parallel routing with power cables introduces interference

Field boundary:

  • Long cable without isolation → signal becomes invalid
  • High-noise environment → pulses cannot be detected reliably

Differential wiring is required. Flameproof structure does not improve signal integrity.

Replacement and Interface Mapping

  • Only valid when system supports differential input
  • Suitable for maximum stability and wide operating margin
  • Not usable for precision positioning systems
  • Interface and cable configuration can be adapted
