The CEW58M-00046 Custom Replacement Solution is engineered to match the original absolute rope length encoder in both electrical performance and mechanical integration. This replacement model is intended for industrial motion and length-measurement applications where precise multi-turn position feedback and stable fieldbus communication are required. The solution is designed for direct installation without modifying existing mounting structures, wiring layouts, or PLC configurations, helping minimize downtime during maintenance or retrofit projects.

From a technical standpoint, this encoder provides 4,096 steps per revolution combined with 4,096 revolutions, enabling accurate multi-turn absolute position detection over long travel distances. Communication is handled via PROFIBUS DP, using an RS485 output level, ensuring reliable and deterministic data exchange in distributed automation systems. The encoder operates on a 11–27 V supply voltage and supports 12 Mbaud transmission as well as PNO Profile Class 2, making it suitable for high-performance industrial networks.

The mechanical design includes a coupling shaft interface and radial cable gland connections (2×M16×1.5 and 1×M12×1.5). With an IP65 protection rating and an operating temperature range of –20 to +70 °C, the unit performs reliably in demanding environments. An integrated 15 m rope length transmitter enables precise linear position feedback for cranes, material handling systems, and long-travel machinery.

This 1:1 replacement solution ensures functional equivalence while supporting customized delivery for specific application requirements.
