CEV65M-10261: An Alternative Solution for an Ethernet Protocol Absolute Encoder

The CEV65M-10261 is an absolute encoder model introduced by TR company, with a history dating back to 2008.

Today, we received a customer inquiry for an alternative to this encoder. In fact, there are encoders from other brands with similar parameters on the market. However, the customer still requested our assistance in resolving the replacement issue.

This product features a 65mm clamping flange, which can be fully replaced by a 58mm clamping flange in practical applications. It has a 36mm boss and a 10mm solid shaft. These are standard dimensions for an encoder.

It is important to note that this is an Ethernet protocol absolute encoder with a resolution of 8192*4096. There are no other particular features to mention.

We offer two alternative solutions: one is to replicate the same 65mm clamping flange, and the other is to use a 58mm clamping flange directly. Both can achieve the replacement.

For the internal circuit parameters, we have a fully matching circuit design that complies with the Ethernet protocol. Yes, it seems that the replacement issue has been resolved so simply.

That is to say, we have achieved the replacement application with a 58mm encoder.

However, many friends are not familiar with the parameter interchangeability between absolute encoders, which leads to incorrect selection of encoder products. The only thing to pay attention to here is that the operator needs to know how to replace the GSD file. This is a minimum requirement.

Well, the replacement for this product has been resolved.

If you are proficient in applying encoders, you can directly use the 58mm series for replacement. If you insist on choosing the 65mm series, that's fine too; I can have a clamping flange remanufactured through the machining center.
