BTF13-A1AM1020 is a discontinued draw-wire absolute encoder with a measuring range of 0–10 m. For equipment that is still using this model, we can develop a customized product based on the original draw-wire mechanism and encoder configuration for maintenance and replacement.
The model uses an SSI interface with Gray code output and a radial M23 12-pin connector. The draw-wire mechanism provides approximately 334.1 mm of travel per revolution, with an actual wire length of about 10.2 m.
The discontinuation of this product is mainly related to the encoder section. For the customized version, we reproduce the key parameters of the original encoder, including the communication method, code format, and position output logic, while maintaining compatibility with the original draw-wire mechanism.
The customized product also retains the same wiring definition as the original unit. This allows the replacement to use the existing connector and wiring arrangement, making direct plug-in replacement possible without rewiring the machine.
There is one clear visual difference between the two products: the original BTF13-A1AM1020 uses a blue housing, while the customized version uses a black housing. The main goal of the customization is not to copy the appearance, but to maintain the original measuring range, SSI signal configuration, and wiring definition so the new unit can continue to work with the existing equipment.
