System Limits

Analog encoder replacement depends on maintaining consistent current output behavior between the encoder and the controller. The 770591-01 RHA 506 uses a 4–20 mA analog output with 10-bit singleturn resolution and a 360° active angle. This model uses a Ø12 mm blind hollow shaft with a 56/57 flange structure and a 2 m radial cable connection. Shaft engagement, flange mounting, coupling alignment, cable routing, shielding, and grounding continuity should be maintained because mechanical mismatch or electrical interference can affect long-term position measurement accuracy.

Wiring & Installation

The analog interface requires verification of power supply, current output, preset, code sequence, and chassis shield connections. The configuration uses dedicated wiring for +E Volt, 0 Volt, I out, preset, code sequence, and shield. Incorrect current output wiring, poor shielding continuity, or improper grounding may result in unstable feedback values or increased commissioning difficulty.

During replacement installation, the Ø12 mm blind hollow shaft and 56/57 flange interface should be checked against the existing machine structure.
