746092-04 RSA 507 SSI Binary Cable Integration

EncoderWorks provides a custom compatible replacement solution for 746092-04 RSA 507 focused on maintaining SSI Binary communication behavior, Ø10 mm shaft adaptation, and controller-side position data consistency. The replacement challenge is not only matching the 13-bit absolute position output, but also preserving SSI clock/data timing, binary data interpretation, and clamping flange installation conditions required by the existing control system. SSI communication may remain active while incorrect timing, signal mapping, or mechanical adaptation still affects position accuracy.

System Limits

SSI replacement reliability depends on maintaining consistent serial communication between the encoder and the controller. The 746092-04 RSA 507 uses SSI Binary output with 13-bit singleturn resolution. Clock timing, inverted clock/data signals, hold function, code sequence direction, and binary data interpretation must be matched because differences in serial communication processing can result in incorrect position values or additional commissioning adjustments.

The mechanical integration boundary includes shaft fit, flange mounting, and cable installation stability. This model uses a Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat and a clamping flange (61-type) mounting structure, together with a 1.5 m radial cable connection. Shaft orientation, partial flat alignment, flange positioning, cable routing, shielding, and grounding continuity should be maintained because mechanical mismatch or electrical interference can affect long-term position feedback reliability.

Wiring & Installation

SSI integration requires verification of clock, inverted clock, data, inverted data, hold, code sequence, power supply, and chassis shield connections. The configuration uses dedicated SSI signal wiring through the radial cable connection. Incorrect signal mapping, missing complementary signal connections, poor shielding, or improper grounding may result in unstable serial communication or inaccurate position evaluation.

During replacement installation, the Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat and clamping flange interface should be checked against the existing machine structure. The radial cable outlet, shaft alignment, mounting stability, and vibration conditions should be considered together to maintain reliable SSI feedback performance.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match SSI Binary communication behavior and controller-side serial data interpretation.
  • Preserve 13-bit singleturn position structure and code sequence configuration.
  • Adapt Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat and clamping flange (61-type) mounting requirements.
  • Validate SSI timing, signal mapping, shielding, and grounding conditions.

Typical production lead time: 15 working days.
