1070422-01 RSA 506 Analog M12 Connector Integration

EncoderWorks provides a custom compatible replacement solution for 1070422-01 RSA 506 focused on maintaining analog 4–20 mA feedback behavior, M12 connector integration, and Ø10 mm shaft mechanical compatibility. The replacement challenge is not only reproducing the current output range, but also preserving active angle configuration, preset functions, and controller-side current signal interpretation. A valid analog output can still result in incorrect position feedback if scaling, connector mapping, or mechanical alignment is not matched.

System Limits

Analog encoder replacement depends on maintaining consistent current output behavior between the encoder and the controller. The 1070422-01 RSA 506 uses a 4–20 mA analog output with 10-bit singleturn resolution and a 50° active angle. Output scaling, active angle configuration, preset behavior, and code sequence settings must be matched because differences in current interpretation can cause incorrect position calculation or additional commissioning adjustments.

The mechanical integration boundary includes shaft fit, flange mounting, and connector installation. This model uses a Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat and a clamping flange (61-type) mounting structure, together with an axial 8-pin M12 connector. Shaft orientation, flange alignment, connector position, cable routing, shielding, and grounding continuity should be maintained because mechanical mismatch or electrical interference can affect long-term position measurement accuracy.

Wiring & Installation

The analog interface requires verification of power supply, current output, preset, code sequence, and case housing connections. The configuration uses an 8-pin M12 connector with dedicated connections for +E Volt, 0 Volt, I out, preset, and code sequence. Incorrect pin mapping, poor shielding continuity, or improper grounding may result in unstable feedback values or increased commissioning difficulty.

During replacement installation, the Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat and clamping flange interface should be checked against the existing machine structure. The axial M12 connector installation, shaft orientation, mounting stability, and vibration conditions should be considered together to maintain reliable position feedback in industrial applications.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match 4–20 mA analog feedback behavior and controller-side current signal interpretation.
  • Preserve 10-bit singleturn resolution and 50° active angle configuration.
  • Adapt Ø10 mm shaft with partial flat, clamping flange (61-type), and M12 connector requirements.
  • Validate output scaling, preset/code sequence functions, connector wiring, shielding, and grounding conditions.

Typical production lead time: 15 working days.
