It should be handled as a singleturn angle encoder, not as a multiturn feedback device.

The first failure boundary is SSI word interpretation. Clock+ / Clock- and Data+ / Data- must remain true RS422 differential pairs. If the PLC expects 12-bit, 13-bit, binary code, or a different clock pause, the SSI frame may be stable while the calculated shaft angle is wrong.
