RVI70E-021K2R61N-02048 Encoder with 2048 PPR Margin

EncoderWorks can configure RVI70E-021K2R61N-02048 as a custom compatible replacement solution for explosion-proof incremental feedback where 2048 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, and a 2 m radial cable route must remain aligned with the installed counter. The failure boundary is defined by A/B/Z complementary mapping, counter frequency margin, radial cable strain, Ø12 mm clamping-flange fit, PE continuity, and hazardous-area sealing. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

This model is used where the controller expects 2048 PPR quadrature feedback from a protected incremental encoder. A compatible replacement must preserve pulse count, push-pull voltage behavior, Z reference timing, radial cable direction, aluminium housing envelope, and explosion-proof mounting boundary.

System Limits

The first system boundary is the 2048 PPR push-pull counter relationship. RVI70E-021K2R61N-02048 uses A/B/Z feedback with complementary channels and a 10–30 V push-pull output circuit, so the controller must receive the same pulse count, voltage level, channel polarity, Z reference behavior, and direction logic. If the replacement is configured as 1024 PPR, 2000 PPR, RS422 output, missing complementary channels, inverted A/B order, or poor edge quality, the machine can fail with proportional speed error, missed counts, direction reversal, reference loss, or wrong counter scaling. The 200 kHz output boundary should still be checked against operating speed because 2048 PPR can expose controller input margin and edge timing limits at higher shaft speed.

The second boundary is the Ø12 mm clamping-flange installation with 2 m radial cable exit. This version uses an aluminium housing, Ø12 mm × 25 mm shaft, and radial cable route, so shaft fit, flange face, side clearance, cable bend radius, gland stress, PE continuity, shielding, sealing exposure, and bearing load must be controlled together. Excessive radial load, flange misalignment, cable pulling force at the side exit, poor grounding, or damaged sealing can cause bearing stress, signal dropout, water or dust ingress, and early mechanical failure. Explosion-proof suitability must be confirmed against the installed hazardous-area requirement and certificate scope before shipment.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the full installed model code, 2048 PPR requirement, 10–30 V supply, push-pull controller input, A/B/Z and complementary channel mapping, controller counter margin, 2 m radial cable route, PE connection, Ø12 mm shaft and clamping-flange dimensions, and hazardous-area classification. The radial cable exit should be checked against side clearance because a correct electrical match can still fail if the cable gland is loaded by guarding, vibration, or machine movement.

During installation, the Ø12 mm clamping flange should sit flat and the coupling should not force the shaft off center. Keep the radial cable exit free from sharp bending, pulling force, or vibration load, and maintain PE and shield continuity back to the cabinet. Route encoder wiring away from motor power cables, then verify direction, Z reference behavior, and count stability before returning the machine to service.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match 2048 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, A/B/Z channels, and complementary signal mapping
  • Preserve push-pull input compatibility, counter frequency margin, Z reference behavior, direction logic, and edge timing
  • Adapt the Ø12 mm shaft, clamping flange, 2 m radial cable, aluminium housing, and sealing boundary
  • Review PE continuity, side cable clearance, shaft load, IP exposure, and hazardous-area requirement before shipment
