RVI70E-021K1R61N-01024 Encoder with 1 m Radial Shaft Fit

EncoderWorks can configure RVI70E-021K1R61N-01024 as a custom compatible replacement solution for explosion-proof incremental feedback where 1024 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, 1 m radial cable routing, and Ø12 mm clamping-flange fit must remain aligned. The failure boundary is defined by A/B/Z complementary mapping, push-pull input compatibility, short-cable routing, shaft load, PE continuity, and hazardous-area sealing. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

This model is used where a controller expects 1024 PPR quadrature feedback from a protected incremental encoder and the cable exits radially from the housing. A compatible replacement must preserve pulse count, push-pull driver behavior, Z reference timing, radial cable direction, aluminium housing envelope, and explosion-proof mounting boundary.

System Limits

The first system boundary is the 1024 PPR push-pull counter relationship. RVI70E-021K1R61N-01024 uses A/B/Z feedback with complementary channels and a 10–30 V push-pull output circuit, so the controller must receive the same pulse count, voltage level, channel polarity, Z reference behavior, and direction logic. If the replacement is configured with RS422 output, another PPR value, missing complementary channels, inverted A/B order, or poor edge quality, the machine can fail with missed counts, unstable speed feedback, direction reversal, reference loss, or wrong counter scaling. The 200 kHz output boundary should still be checked against operating speed and controller input margin.

The second boundary is the Ø12 mm clamping-flange installation with 1 m radial cable exit. This version uses an aluminium housing, Ø12 mm × 25 mm shaft, and short radial cable route, so shaft fit, flange face, side clearance, cable bend radius, gland stress, PE continuity, shielding, sealing exposure, and bearing load must be controlled together. Excessive radial load, flange misalignment, cable pulling force at the side exit, poor grounding, or damaged sealing can cause bearing stress, signal dropout, water or dust ingress, and early mechanical failure. Explosion-proof suitability must be confirmed against the installed hazardous-area requirement and certificate scope before shipment.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the full installed model code, 1024 PPR requirement, 10–30 V supply, push-pull controller input, A/B/Z and complementary channel mapping, 1 m radial cable route, PE connection, shaft/flange dimensions, and hazardous-area requirement. The shorter cable should be checked against the cabinet or junction-box distance because a correct encoder can still fail if the cable is pulled, extended poorly, or routed without shield continuity.

During installation, the Ø12 mm clamping flange should sit flat and the coupling should not force the shaft off center. Keep the radial cable exit free from sharp bending, pulling force, or vibration load, and maintain PE and shield continuity back to the cabinet. Route encoder wiring away from motor power cables, then verify direction, Z reference behavior, and count stability before returning the machine to service.

Custom Compatible Solution

  • Match 1024 PPR, 10–30 V push-pull output, A/B/Z channels, and complementary signal mapping
  • Preserve push-pull input compatibility, edge timing, Z reference behavior, direction logic, and controller counter margin
  • Adapt the Ø12 mm shaft, clamping flange, 1 m radial cable, aluminium housing, and sealing boundary
  • Review PE continuity, side cable clearance, shaft load, IP exposure, and hazardous-area requirement before shipment
