We developed a custom solution for model OCF-DPC1B-0016-B06S-H3E. This configuration is intended for projects that need an absolute Profibus encoder with Zone 2 and 22 approval, 58 mm blind hollow structure, and 6 mm shaft bore. The referenced configuration shows Profibus DPV0/DPV1/DPV2 Class 2, 10–30 VDC supply, 16-bit single-turn optical feedback, IP66/IP67 protection, and CE + ATEX Zone 2 & 22 approval. Typical production lead time: 15 working days.

Technical Key Parameters

The main engineering value of this model is not only the fieldbus interface but the hazardous-area suitability. It supports transmission rate up to 12 Mbaud, opto-isolated Profibus output, and programmable functions including preset, scaling, node setting, direction, and diagnostic mode. The sensing principle is optical, with 16-bit single-turn resolution and listed accuracy of ±0.0220° for 14–16 bit ranges.

Mechanically, it uses a 58 mm blind hollow housing with 30 mm bore depth and 6 mm shaft diameter, plus corrosion-resistant construction and IP66/IP67 enclosure protection. For selection work, the small 6 mm bore is an important anchor point: it is better suited for light compact shafts where maintaining alignment quality matters more than high shaft load margin. The hazardous certification also makes this version more than a normal Profibus replacement; it is a compliance-sensitive solution.

Wiring and Installation Notes

This version uses three cable glands in radial direction and a bus-in / bus-out wiring structure. The connection plan shows Bus line A, Bus line B, Power Supply+, and GND- for both input and output bus routing. In installation, shielding, gland sealing, and enclosure integrity must be handled carefully, because hazardous-area performance depends on the whole assembled condition, not only the encoder body. The blind hollow shaft should be clamped without forcing eccentric load into the bore.
