Bus Configuration & Communication

This configuration uses Profinet with 100 Mbit transmission, cycle time from 125 µs, and programmable functions including resolution, preset, counting direction, IP address, fractional scaling, and encoder parameter control via GSDML or non-volatile memory. The diagnostic layer also covers memory, temperature, synchronization, commissioning, communication, and master sign-of-life.

Primary integration value: Ethernet-based absolute feedback with structured diagnostics and profile-level parameter control.
Primary risk: network-side commissioning errors on IP setup, topology, or parameter loading.
Best practice: power → Rx/Tx integrity → IP/network setup → profile parameters. That order follows from the published connection plan and Profinet-specific function set.

Mechanical & Installation Focus

The mechanical package uses an anodized aluminum housing, 78 mm ATEX clamping flange, and 12 mm solid shaft with 20 mm length. Published shaft load is 60 N axial / 80 N radial, and maximum speed is 3000 rpm.
