We developed a custom solution for the OCE-DPC1B-1213-E14W-HFZ model, intended for applications that require Profibus communication together with hazardous-area mechanical protection. This configuration is built around a blind hollow bore structure, a 78 mm ATEX mounting form, and a 14 mm shaft interface, while maintaining 13-bit singleturn and 12-bit multiturn absolute feedback. It is suitable for installations where explosion protection, corrosion resistance, and stable fieldbus integration must be addressed together. Typical production lead time: 15 working days. The original configuration uses a Profibus interface, optical sensing, binary code output, 10–30 VDC supply, and CE + ATEX Zone 1 & 21 approval.

Wiring and Installation Notes

For this model, the most important point is not only fieldbus wiring accuracy, but also enclosure integrity in hazardous installations. The Profibus bus-in and bus-out lines, power supply, and grounding path must be kept clear and stable, with shield continuity maintained through the full cable route. Because the unit uses a blind hollow bore design, shaft insertion depth and clamping stability should be checked before commissioning. In ATEX environments, installers should also avoid improvised cable entry changes that could weaken sealing or certification-related protection. The stainless-steel body and flange structure make this layout more suitable for corrosive or exposed industrial areas than a standard painted housing.
