FVM58N-032AEA3GN-0813 Gray Connector Mapping and Servo Flange

The EncoderWorks compatible replacement approach for FVM58N-032AEA3GN-0813 should first control Gray-code connector mapping, 21-bit data length, and Ø6 mm servo-flange centering. This model is not the same case as the K2 cable-output version. The AE connector reduces loose conductor tracing, but it makes pin assignment, active data length, LATCH behavior, and servo coupling alignment the main failure points.

The FVM58N-032AEA3GN-0813 is a multiturn absolute encoder with fast parallel push-pull output, aluminum housing, 032 solid shaft with Ø6 mm x 10 mm servo flange, AE 26-pin connector, axial exit direction, Gray code, and V/R, LATCH, PRESET inputs. The FVM58 series supports direct high-speed position transfer, Gray or binary code, V/R, LATCH, PRESET, and code change frequency up to 400 kHz.

The first failure boundary is the AE connector data format. The FVM58 type code separates K2 cable versions from AE plug versions, and the plug connector version is associated with 21-bit total data. If the PLC expects the original 0813 data length but the replacement wiring or controller interpretation shifts the word, the encoder may output valid signals while the machine position becomes wrong.

This replacement fails when the 26-pin connector fits and the Gray outputs are active, but the controller decodes the wrong multiturn position because pin order, active data length, or LATCH wiring does not match the original encoder. The hardware appears compatible, but the absolute word is not.

The second boundary is input-state control. V/R changes counting direction, LATCH freezes the parallel position word for stable reading, and PRESET sets the output word to zero. These signals must be checked as control inputs, not spare pins. The FVM58 connection table lists data bits, power, V/R, LATCH, and PRESET separately, which makes pin-level verification necessary.

Mechanically, the Ø6 mm servo shaft requires accurate coupling alignment and flange centering. A small shaft cannot absorb radial or angular error without transferring load into the encoder bearings. The published axial and radial shaft-load values should be treated as limits, not as normal preload during installation.

The replacement decision should first confirm 032 Ø6 mm servo-flange geometry, coupling alignment, AE 26-pin connector assignment, 21-bit Gray data length, V/R direction logic, LATCH timing, PRESET behavior, supply voltage, shielding, and controller input thresholds. EncoderWorks treats FVM58N-032AEA3GN-0813 as an industrial encoder custom compatible solution where Gray connector mapping and servo-flange centering decide field reliability.

Typical production lead time: 15 working days.
