BTF08-A1AM0340 is a discontinued 3 m draw-wire absolute encoder. Compared with the BTF13 series, this model uses a different draw-wire mechanism size and measuring range, so the customized version needs to be matched specifically to the mechanical structure and encoder configuration of the BTF08-A1AM0340.
The measuring range is 0–3 m, with an actual wire length of approximately 3.2 m and about 200 mm of linear travel per revolution. The encoder uses an SSI interface with a radial M23 12-pin male connector. The original product operates from 10–32 VDC.
The discontinuation of this product is mainly related to the encoder section. For the customized version, we reproduce the original encoder interface and signal parameters while keeping the same final wiring definition as the original product. This allows the existing M23 connector and wiring to be retained, making direct plug-in replacement possible without changing the wire sequence.
The customized product operates from 10–30 VDC, which is slightly different from the original 10–32 VDC range. The actual machine supply should therefore be confirmed before installation.
There is also a clear visual difference between the two products. The original BTF08-A1AM0340 uses a blue housing, while the customized version uses a black housing. The main goal of the customization is to retain the original 3 m measuring range, SSI interface, and wiring definition so that the equipment can continue to operate after the original model has been discontinued.
