BTF08-A1AM0240 is a discontinued 2 m draw-wire absolute encoder. Compared with the 3 m, 5 m, and 10 m versions in the same product family, this model uses a shorter measuring range and the BTF08 draw-wire mechanism, so the customized version needs to be matched specifically to the mechanical and encoder configuration of the BTF08-A1AM0240.
The measuring range is 0–2 m, with an actual wire length of approximately 2.2 m and 200 mm of linear travel per revolution. The encoder uses an SSI interface with a radial M23 12-pin male connector. The original product operates from 10–32 VDC.
The discontinuation of this product is mainly related to the encoder section. For the customized version, we reproduce the original encoder interface and signal parameters while keeping the same final wiring definition as the original product. This allows the existing M23 connector and wiring to be retained, making direct plug-in replacement possible without changing the wire sequence.
The customized product operates from 10–30 VDC, which is slightly different from the original 10–32 VDC range. The actual machine supply should therefore be confirmed before installation.
There is also a clear visual difference between the two products. The original BTF08-A1AM0240 uses a blue housing, while the customized version uses a black housing. For this 2 m version, the main customization is to retain the original short-range draw-wire mechanism, SSI interface, and wiring arrangement so that the equipment can continue to be maintained after the original model has been discontinued.
