System Limits

The first system boundary is the High Current HTL incremental signal path. At 2048 PPR, the controller depends on sufficient counter frequency margin, correct S00/S90 phase interpretation, stable output-current capability, and reliable Sref reference pulse processing. A replacement may appear electrically functional while still failing if the output level, signal sequence, phase relationship, or reference pulse behavior does not match the controller input requirements.

The second boundary is mechanical installation and signal integrity. The Ø16 mm blind hollow shaft, insulated shaft structure, hybrid-bearing design, 86-flange mounting, and 120° torque bracket orientation must remain consistent with the original application. Incorrect alignment, excessive radial load, or poor shield grounding can introduce vibration, bearing stress, and unstable feedback signals.

Wiring & Installation

Before replacement, confirm the complete installed configuration including 2048 PPR requirement, HC-HTL output type, S00/S00⁻, S90/S90⁻, Sref/Sref⁻ channel assignment, supply voltage, cable gland wiring, shield connection, Ø16 mm hollow shaft dimensions, flange mounting, and torque bracket position.

The complementary signal pairs should be verified before commissioning. Maintain a continuous low-resistance shield connection and separate encoder wiring from motor, brake, inverter, and high-current cables.

During installation, confirm S00 and S90 phase direction and verify Sref reference behavior during slow rotation. The hollow shaft should be mounted concentrically without excessive coupling stress or radial loading.
