We provide a 1:1 replacement solution for the HOG 161 DN 1024 I 75H7 absolute encoder. This replacement encoder is designed for seamless integration into existing systems, providing precise position feedback with a 1024 pulses per revolution (PPR) resolution. It operates using the Profibus-DP protocol, ensuring reliable communication for industrial applications requiring high accuracy and stability in challenging environments.

The unit features a 75H7 hollow shaft for easy installation and compatibility with standard mechanical assemblies. It operates on a 9–30 V DC supply with IP56 protection, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental factors such as dust and moisture. Designed to withstand up to 6000 rpm mechanical speed and a wide temperature range of –40°C to +85°C, this encoder is built for demanding applications.

This 1:1 replacement guarantees the same high-level performance and functionality as the original, ensuring minimal downtime and quick installation while maintaining system reliability.

HOG 161 DN 1024 I 75H7 is an encoder model launched by Baumer, belonging to the large bore product series. There has been no news about this model in recent years; however, inquiries about HOG163 are more frequent. At the end of last month, a customer suddenly inquired about this product to be shipped to Russia.

In such cases, only alternative solutions can be provided. The customer was in a tight schedule, and fortunately, there was an alternative solution for HOG163. HOG161 and HOG163 essentially have the same parameters, which makes things much easier. Directly using the alternative solution for HOG163 for production.

The housing dimensions will not be introduced here; production is designed and manufactured according to the original size. The circuit and code disk are off-the-shelf solutions. Technical personnel can directly assemble and test them. This was an alternative solution made for a steel enterprise last year and has come in handy now.

It took a little over a week to complete the delivery this time, which the customer was quite pleased with, as the completion of a new product so quickly was beyond his expectation. Thanks to the customer who commissioned the development last time; it would not have been possible to complete it in such a short time otherwise.

The main purpose today is to record the alternative product solution for this model. We can provide alternative solutions for many encoder models, but due to the large number of models, they cannot be listed one by one. Some customer friends often send their regards, asking for more "alternative solutions" to be written.

Therefore, this blog will occasionally introduce some hard-to-procure product models. Easy-to-procure ones will not be written; those in need can contact us directly.
