We developed a custom solution for the FGH6KK-2500G-90G-NG-S-J/50P encoder, intended for heavy-duty shaft systems where direct hollow shaft mounting, stable incremental speed feedback, and programmable overspeed protection must remain reliable under vibration, load fluctuation, and industrial interference. This configuration provides 2500 ppr output, dual terminal box structure, and integrates option S electronic speed switch together with option J reduced rotational frequency modulation, making it suitable for applications where speed monitoring and protection logic must work together. It is not a general-purpose encoder. It is a shaft-mounted protection solution where installation quality, switch configuration, and signal integrity determine whether the system remains usable. Typical production lead time: 30 working days.

Stable operation depends on shaft fit, mounting rigidity, terminal integrity, and correct overspeed switch configuration.

System Limits

  • Shaft misalignment → unstable pulse output
  • Wrong switch threshold → protection failure
  • EMC interference → signal distortion

The FGH6 platform is designed for harsh-duty speed feedback where hollow shaft mounting improves long-term stability by avoiding coupling-related installation errors. The encoder uses an optical measuring principle and supports 0°, 90°, reference pulse, and inverted signals. Option S enables two independently programmable switching points for overspeed or underspeed detection, while option J reduces rotational frequency modulation for cleaner speed signal behavior.

Installation and Wiring Constraints

  • Use direct hollow shaft mounting (Ø50 mm H7)
  • Avoid coupling-based installation and shaft eccentricity
  • Separate pulse signal wiring from switch output wiring
  • Use shielded cables in high-noise environments
  • Configure switching delay, hysteresis, and thresholds to match real drive limits
  • Consider FOC transmission for long-distance EMC-critical routing

Failure boundary:

  • Weak mounting → unstable signal
  • Wrong switch configuration → missed or false protection
  • Poor shielding → distorted output

Replacement and Interface Mapping

  • Suitable for heavy-duty speed monitoring with programmable protection
  • Applicable where 2500 ppr feedback and overspeed switch logic are required
